politics is not my favorite subject and i dont plan on updating my knowledge on the issue if i dont have to. I just want to say that i did my debate and it wasnt that bad, the only person who bite my head off was mr carl. I feel like if i want to ever talk to him, i have to research EVERYTHING on the planet. I have my views, but i dont debate. I

Well I don't think you are stupid in the slightest bit. If you are getting pissed about issues then good- at least then you are thinking about them. You have to admit that despite what you believe about abortion you trivialized the issue in the debate. The debates were intended to generate discussion and dialog about the issue and I admit it was not accomplished the way I had hoped.

I don't think you have to be an expert on everything just to have a conversation with me, but in an academic situation where you are expected to be the authority then you should know what you are talking about. And while you may have though the issue through most of your peers have not.

I am glad the semester is over, but I will remember your class fondly
