I agree completely. How can you expect to have friends if you don't act as a friend first? "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I guess that's the hard part...how do you act like a friend? To me, being a friend is putting others before everything...even things you are already obligated to. After all...they are just things but relationships are what makes our lives worth living. I mean, am I wrong in thinking this, or don't the Ten Commandments all deal with relationships? And, straight from the Bible...2 John 1:6 "Love means living the way God commanded us to live. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is this: Live a life of love." So, I guess being a friend is accepting a person for who they are and being willing to give your time to them before yourself or other things.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in wrong-doing but rejoices with the truth. It trusts all things, hopes all things, believes all things, endures all things..." (1 Corinthians 13)

Now, in the spirit of SEARCH...

Victoria is patient, Victoria is kind. Rachel does not envy, Rachel does not boast, Rachel is not proud. Nikki is not rude, Nikki is not self-seeking. NIkki is not easily angered. Nikki keeps no record of wrongs. Jason does not delight in wrong-doing but rejoices with the truth. We trust all things, hope all things, believe all things, endure all things...

(thanks for that, Jules!)

Here's to friendship!!!
