Tony Stewart Is A Dumbass
WARNING: Tony Stewart fans may not want to read below.
Tony Stewart, my friends, is a dumbass. He's a moron. The guy knows he's one of the best drivers in Nextel Cup, yet does nothing to back that talent up. Especially this season. Time after time he has initiated/been involved in on track incidents and pissed off many a driver and crew.
Example 1 - Darlington: Kasey Kahne and Tony are running for a top ten position. Kasey's car gets loose and drifts up the track in front of Tony. Tony, thinking that Kasey did this intentionally, punts Kasey from behind. Kasey's car spins and he is cost a good finish.
Example 2 - Talladega: Tony gets pissed off after the race and goes up pit road backwards. Crew members dive to get out of his way and Tony hits Terry Labonte's car. Both the 20 and the 5 are damaged.
Example 3 - California: Tony has incidents with Jeff Gordon(not that I minded), Ricky Rudd, and Rusty Wallace. Wallace is forced out of the race because of damaged caused by Tony.
Example 4 - Sonoma: After the race, an angered Tony approaches the car of Brian Vickers and proceeds to punch/grab him in the chest. Tony later says his actions were due to a pass made by the 25 car during the race, but the pass was clean.
Example 5 - Today at Chicago: Tony is third at a restart. He is the first car on four fresh tires. The two cars in front of him - Sterling Marlin and Kasey Kahne - both only took two tires during the latest pit stop. Tony passes Sterling at the start and is right behind Kasey knowing that he only has two tires and can't go into the corner as hard as the 20 can. So, instead of backing off and letting all parties go into the corner safely, Tony goes in full throttle and punts Kasey. Kasey spins and hits the wall not just once, but twice. Both hits were pretty hard. A multi-car wreck ensues, involving Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Now, I consider myself a Tony Stewart fan. I like the guy. He's an amazing driver. I like that he's not afraid to express his emotions. I've defended him countless times this season - even when he took out Kasey at Darlington. But enough is enough. Today he crossed the line by taking out not only Kasey, but also Junior. I don't know what his problem is lately, but he best get over it. If he doesn't, Tony just may find out that karma is indeed a bitch.
