Wow. What a great story. Poor sad and sick Sammy- your writing just makes me want to give him a hug. Thanks for sharing this.

Thank you! And I'm with you-- he could certainly use a hug after all that. I'd happily volunteer. :-)

Lovely prose, if a bit "productive"! ;) Really enjoyed.

This is very nice - the prose has a hypnotic quality to it, just pulling the reader along, even if it did seem a little overwrought at places. The h/c is perfect - no overindulging or wallowing in the condition, which is refreshing. And your depiction of Sam's grief was gutting.

Great job!

Thank you! Yeah, simplicity isn't my strong suit. I'll keep working on it, though-- thanks for the suggestion!

I'm very glad to hear that the h/c and the grief part of it worked. Glad you enjoyed it!

There is not one thing about this I do not absolutely adore. The grief and pain, and the sense that Sam and Dean are trying to reach some point where they can recognize each other again ... amazing.

Just - I miss s1 fics like this, so thank you for bringing them back!

Thank you! And thanks for the rec, it means a lot! (I was grinning like mad when I saw it. ^_^)

I really love Season 1. There were a lot of things still getting worked out in terms of production/writing/acting/etc, but story-wise, it was all about relationships: Sam losing Jess, Dean and Sam figuring out how to work together again, looking for John... don't get me wrong, I'm all for the apocalypse (man, that would sound weird out of context), but yeah. Season 1 is a wonderful thing. :-)

ahaha, yeah, I was going to notify you to that (I just got sucked up in a big bang fic first). Glad I didn't offend :D but this deserves rec'ing, definitely!

itawc, too. For the sense of personal dynamics with the WinBros, I think s1 was best, but later seasons (I can say with a slightly less frustrated hindsight, LOL) do have their advantages in regards, especially, to the acting and storyline (somewhat, improvements still to be made on that last one hopefully).

This was lovely. The grief the illness. The way both of them are clumsily floundering through this.
