I wish I spoke Norwegian! No, this was the result of "There must be a word for that thing I just described!" + English Wikipedia + Norwegian Wikipedia + Google Translate. I did learn several Norwegian words (including midnattssol and skumring), but I don't think they'd help me much in conversation-- I mean, how often do you find yourself talking about lysbrytning? Haha.
