this is so so sweet! poor sam with all of his blankets and chills and coughing and dean is so AWESOME drinking coffee and then beer after beer after beer and teaching cas about pie (i love that line!) and sam's just sleeping on the couch and listening to everyone and cas was so adorably naive and oh oh oh i love the line about the superhero cape! so so cute. you're wonderful!

I love it. Sam drifting in and out and trying to make sense of the changes but knowing it's 'cause he's sick. And the smell of the blankets--SUCH GOOD DETAILS! I love Sam wearing one to the table like a superhero cape 'cause he's too cold without it Awwww. And OF COURSE Dean would teach Cas about pie! The aprons. And Sam trying to sit on a stair but being pulled to the couch instead. And Cas trying to leave but Dean not letting him and ALL the things Cas is thankful for... and all the things Sam is thankful for. Awwwwwwwwwwwww! *love*

I'm so glad you liked those little details! I had to adjust his illness a bit because I started writing and realized, wait, he needs to be able to smell! Haha.

I wanted to put Bobby in an apron, and when I Googled it to make sure I wasn't doing something absurdly out of character, there was a screencap of him in a "Kiss the Cook" apron, wielding a spatula! It was too perfect not to use.
