Yeah, that's been a dream of mine as well. I think I'd make a great bookseller.

Pity that it's not a very profitable business.

I don't know; I think they do pretty well. Sacramento has several independent bookstores that have been in business for years.

If I opened one, I'd love to model it after my favorite place in the world, Kramer books/Afterwords Cafe.

You know, I think you're right about Kramerbooks. I like the cafe more than the bookstore portion. But I happened to have a great conversation with the clerk at Kramer books which sort of endeared it to me.

One of my favorite things about DC is that I saw so many people either reading, or carrying around a book. It was a comfort, especially since it's such a rare site in my hometown.
