I think McCain was blamed for being associated with Palin more so than Bush. The way I looked at that was that McCain is old. McCain has had cancer FOUR TIMES. Palin was destined to be president and that scared the sh*t out of me! Before that I kind of considered voting for McCain because honestly Obama scares me too. I don't know that he has the experience he needs. But I do know that change is what is needed and I didn't feel like McCain was going to do that. And I like gay people, and I like abortion rights, and I hate the war. So yeah...I was stuck with Obama when I really wanted Hilary

To be fair on Obama, he rarely mentioned his race (as far as I know), if other people voted for him purely on his race and not because of anything to do with his policies then that's them being stupid and not his fault. And like Cassie said, I can't imagine the gap between rich and poor will widen any more with Obama than it would have done with McCain.
