When I graduated school and therefore lost my multiple campus jobs I applied for food stamps. I've been enjoying the benefit for 4 months. Now that I have a job that is not-quite-enough to live one, they're cutting my benefit entirely. I'm apparently making $50 over the limit, even though I literally cannot make ends meet without asking parents for money on this salary. Someone needs to consider the cost of living in the bay, and not just use the national poverty line for these things. ugh.
