I guess the prompt just produces a certain mold for people to shape a fic from; but a few specific details you gave were ones I was gonna include too, like Will being good at running and the differences in their clothing because of their home life.

I guess that outlawing OCs is a good way to cut out Mary-Sues; but if you rely on canon characters to fill in all the gaps you can end up with Draco In Leather Pants or Ron The Death Eater. It's best to try and find the right balance.

That said, Puck played the role you assigned him perfectly; and since it's AU there's no reason why he couldn't be friends with Finn from childhood. I just personally don't feel it.

I get my teen dialogue as a mix from my own friendships and from; as you call them; "Decent Shows" ^^ I do that because I know that my friends and I fit a certain demographic and other cliques would probably behave very differently.

Mmm this is true. I think I'm going for a more vauge prompt next time. Plus the monthly challenge on is going to be pretty much free reign as long as people stay in the general area of the prompt for it ( ... )
