Freia is acting punky, and I'm a bit worried. In the last 2-3 weeks, she's really dropped in the amount of food she's willing to eat. Before she would eat a whole wet can of a food a day (half in the morning, half in the evening). Now she'll eat a half can at most--a quarter at a time. Take her in. Cats don't suddenly halve their food intake because of old age. Old age is not a disease - disease is a disease. The most common reason for elderly cats being euthanased is because they get too thin and weak, because some problem causes their appetite to fall, such as a kidney problem.

The sooner you find out what is going on, the sooner you can manage it, and the less weight she loses before you get a diagnosis, the longer she is likely to be with you.

Hm, yeah, seconding the "take her in and get her checked out" - only eating half as much as usual is a pretty big reduction.
