I despise the USPS for similar reasons.

Wating for a card from my brother in VA. Just a birthday card with a few bills in it for me to do my Wheresgeorge thing on it.
Never arrived. Why? Apparently, E.52nd Street (East Flatbush) from time to time gets confused with S.2nd Street (Williamsburg). Proof of this is a letter for a Hispanic woman that arrived at my home. On the envelope, the zip code is 11211, but the bar code the post office's machine of horrors spits on the bottom reads 11203. So they deliver it to my house.
I decided to do the right thing and return it to my local post office to explain the error. Three days later... The same letter back in my mail slot!
Fed up,
I hop on the Utica Av. bus to it's northern terminal, walk a mile north and delivered the letter in person. No answer at the door, so I attached a letter with my name and address so she could scream at the folks at her local post office as well.
Rant over... Just to let you know, you are not alone.
