♠ I AM BACK. I had my orientation and it was super hectic but it was fun. For the most part, some of it was rather boring. Our leader, Dave, was hilarious and extremely goofy so he made it fun. I pretty much have everything settled and set up, save for the stuff that needs to done when I'm actually moved in ( Read more... )

:O @ free condoms

Actually I think we can get them free at our student health centre too. Also they were giving them out on freshers week.

American uni seems so different though. You take loads of different classes for your degree, as opposed to just one (or two) subjects?

I am just surprised that you can get that many in one day. They were handing them out at my orientation as well so all the guys had to grab some...

Well you have to have 120 credit hours. So your general education classes are around 51 hours, major is anywhere from 28-65 credit hours, and then electives take up the rest. You have to have Academic Writing, a math, a foreign language (which I'll take next semester), and then 9 courses in Gen. Ed.

IKR? I got extremely lucky with that. Though now my MWF days are going to suck ass.

It is. My uni is pretty serious about getting safe sex out there which is good

Thank you! I'm really excited about my Greek class.

Exactly. I'd rather we had out a lot and help to stop the spread then not do anything.

IT IS. I'll take pictures and show how ugly it is. I love it though cause it's just a big sore thumb in downtown Chicago :D. I wish I could show you the windiest spot on campus. Let's just say when you walk on a good day, your hair still blows everywhere.

It is the windy city indeed. Some places aren't so bad but others are just awful. Well I mean the it still totals 3 or 4 hours just instead of doing that all at once they spread it out. Which is better I think cause I could not sit there for 3 hours straight.
