as the rain hammered against the outside of the bus, yixing thought for the 4th time that day that the weather was absolutely horrendous (and it was only 8am).
he slumped down in his seat and stared miserably out of the window. here he was stuck on a crowded, freezing cold bus in the middle of monsoon season on his way to work, when he could be at home where it was warm and comfortable, and where his lazy boyfriend was. still asleep, and would probably remain asleep until yixing came home from work at 4.
yixing rolled his eyes and leant his head against the cold glass, letting the rocking of the bus lull him to a half-conscious state.

yixing stepped through the front door to their apartment and was immediately hit by a blast of heat, making him hiss in affirmation and shut the front door quickly. he removed his scarf and coat and shivered, hanging them up and waddling through the hall to the living room. god, he was tired. bone-deep tired. he just wanted to collapse on the couch and sleep for a week.
he stopped in the doorway when a sight made him smile to himself; there was jongin, curled up on the couch fast asleep. hair messy, arms and legs tucked in, and looking completely out of it. yixing giggled softly and quietly made his way over to the couch, grabbing the blanket from the back of it and laying it over his sleeping boyfriend. he quickly shed his work tie and shoes and climbed under the blanket, nuzzling into jongin’s neck and sighing happily. jongin murmured something indecipherable and immediately wrapped his arms around yixing’s small form, tugging him closer to himself and snoring softly. yixing kissed the exposed skin of jongin’s neck gently and closed his eyes, succumbing to sleep almost instantly.
he was awoken some time later by jongin shifting around on the couch. he moaned and blinked rapidly, looking up to see jongin flicking through the channels on their tv.
“i’m sorry, baby. did i wake you?” jongin asked, looking down with a smile and running his fingers through yixing’s hair.
yixing just grunted and buried himself back into jongin’s neck, pulling the blanket up around himself and whining that it was cold. jongin chuckled and put the tv remote to the side, lying back down and coiling himself around his boyfriend. yixing sighed and closed his eyes, thinking that this was the most comfortable position ever. he didn't ever want to move.
“don’t fall asleep again, you won’t sleep tonight otherwise.” jongin said, rubbing his hands up and down the length of yixing’s back soothingly.
yixing moaned childishly and pouted at his boyfriend, “but i’m tired.”
“i know, but if you sleep now then you’ll wake up in a couple of hours and just moan about how your sleeping pattern is messed up again.” jongin chided. “come on, up and at ‘em.”
jongin sat up and pushed his sleepy boyfriend off of the couch, laughing when he just dropped off the side like a ragdoll, lying there and glaring at jongin menacingly. the younger man laughed and stood up, making his way into the kitchen to make some tea for them. when he came back some minutes later, yixing was still on the floor, curled up in the blanket and fast asleep.
ok, yixing could have his way. he deserved a good rest, anyway.
jongin rolled his eyes and set the cups of tea down on the coffee table, scooping yixing up and making his way into the bedroom. he set him down onto the bed and tucked him in the covers, and just as he was about to leave, yixing’s hand shot out and grabbed his wrist, pulling him down onto the bed.
“stay with me.” yixing yawned, curling himself around jongin and getting comfortable.
jongin shook his head and laughed, getting under the covers and letting yixing cuddle into his side. he leaned down and kissed the top of his head, telling him that he loved him. when yixing didn’t answer, he huffed and realised that he had already fallen asleep. he ran his hands through his soft brown hair, grinning when the older man sighed in his sleep and snuggled into his neck. jongin closed his eyes, and let sleep take him away, too.
and they both slept soundly until morning.
