So you know how I predicted after Apple announced that they would be going to the Intel chipset that eventually they would phase out their computer line? Well, is Jobs' big speech yesterday he announced that the company would be officially changing it's name from Apple Computers Inc. to just Apple Inc. to reflect their shift into the personal ( Read more... )

HELL NO!!!! what do you think i've been working on for the past year and a half..... iphone.... go APPLE!!!!!! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee now you see my display driver chip in action..... cool eh?

OK, I will begrudgingly admit that the iPhone looks pretty sweet and has some neat features. I will bet a zillion dollars though you didn't design their chip on a Mac ;)

no...ick..... but the display driver on the iphone is pretty sweet... the mac can just well... go away... I agree with you there. = ) teehee...

I loves my ipod and am so happy with the iphone - but I bet I won't be able to use it on Verizon : (

iPods stink. They use the crappy AAC encoding. You can only use iTunes to interface with it (unless you're a pretty good hacker) and it is the crappiest, bug-filled application ever. On top of that , they cost a good 15%~25% more than comperable players. Creative players are the only way to go. Better, bigger, more flexable, and cheaper. All you're paying for with an iPod is packaging and advertising.

Of course, Apple neglected to complete their negotiations with Cisco for the use of the name iPhone...which Cisco has been using for about 2 years now for a line of VOIP phones they sell. Should make for an interesting lawsuit :-)

from what I heard internally was that apple already gave Cisco $$... could be wrong... but that is what's coming down from our management here.... then again... it's coming from management and what do they know anyway...
