Today I woke up much later than desired. And much later than I expected, too. Today I got up bright and early (well, at least early) for paleosols lab. We went back to the site we went to last week and finished describing our trenches and then dug a new one. In this one you could see the soil formed before the flood, which was cool. I also found another red velvet mite, which was happy. My camera is definitely on its way out ( Read more... )

I missed yesterday; no worries. Went to school to work on sequence strat, and got a lot of help on my assignment. She works at things different but better way than I do. I look for shapes and changes and whatnot, which she does, too, but she works through things vertically, telling the story. I need to think more along those lines. I usually mark ( Read more... )

So today was not nearly productive as I had hoped, but not a total waste. I got up and sorted through the mini mess on my floor (cleaned my room last week, so it's not too bad) and then filed my bills from the past months. I also reworked my finances. I hoped to wake up somewhat early today and run some errands, but I woke up at 10:30. Had some breakfast, watched some FOL and then got ready for the paleo club field trip at noon. I started off today getting up early to go out in the field. It was 21 degrees F out...boo. I've gone out for geology in colder (say -11) but I still was not thrilled.
