 I'm realizing that I feel what I always feel in December--I'm aching for stillness and quiet.  The weather, the sentiments of the church year, the wind-down of a school semester... Thanks for sharing this... Please let me know too if there are ways I can support you in this. And please know that you don't need to feel pressured at all to take part in parties and outings and all of that, all of that is way less important to me than you...

I really hear you on needing to take retreat time in December. I went to a women's Advent event 2 years in university with my chaplain's community and it was so so wonderful, just having that one day to take space and be looked after. December always feels like we're running headlong into something when we really just need to stop and listen for a while.

I could write more but I think I need to write my own blue post. Thinking of you!!!
