What a wonderful thing!! It's definitely not something everyone possesses, you should feel very blessed to have that gift :) You are such an amazing being!
My first reaction: it totally reminded me of this passage: Jeremiah 20:9 (check it out, in a variety of translations). Actually, it's an incredibly apt verse.
The other thing it reminded me of was the Quaker tradition of silent worship, where people remain silent, until somebody believes that the Spirit is moving her/him to speak. I have never actually been to a Quaker service, but I spent my teenage years in the Pentecostal church, and there is a similar practice, known as the "word of prophecy."
Anyways, I found this very moving. Perhaps you experienced the charismatic grace of prophecy. Or something akin to that.
Maybe so! That is an incredibly apt verse, thanks for pointing me to it.
I've been to Quaker Meetings for Worship before, and I love them very much. I just always worry that it's my ego wanting to speak rather than something else, you know? Like, maybe it's just that I like hearing my own voice. Who knows!
