"One Direction", something I initially suspected to be a laymen's term for a vector, is now more colloquially known to be a boy band.  Apparently history DOES repeat itself, I thought boy bands died out with the generation of fanny packs and the first few seasons of Friends (the good ones...before Rachel and Ross had their love child.... oops,

Super smart post, I think all of your points are right on! Love the objective tone, too - who knows if it's right or wrong, it's just how the world works.
