You might want to sleep more... Next time tell me what time it is there. I really have trouble with time difference. I can sort of vaguely understand that you're about 2.5 meals ahead, but how does that translate into someone else's schedule?

No...trust me...Me being awake at 5 am is not unusual.

I tend to sleep no more than 3 - 4 hours per night anyway. I have had a sleeping pattern like that for the last 10 years. I don;t know why...but I DO know that people tend to sleep too much and that you can manage on much less sleep that you think.

Im actually 8 hours ahead of you...not that I operate on a standard schedule. When he was teaching, Beethoven asked one of his pupils why he hasn't finished a task he had been set. The pupil replied "because there are not enough hours in the day Master", to which Beethoven gave the answer "wrong! There are as many hours in your day as you want there to be"

Very deep, especially for deaf German composers

8 hours is about 1.5 meals. So if we had the same schedule, you'd be halfway between lunch and dinner when I'm having breakfast and it would be fixing toward dark when I'm having lunch. ::shrug::

It's a late night for me if I'm up past midnight. I normally sleep about 7 or 8 hours per night. And I don't care what people think about that being a waste of my time. I did "manage" on 4 hours a night for quite a while, but it meant I was completely unable to cope with stuff that diverged from my expectations. And it meant I never accomplished anything in the mornings. Now I usually get up around dawn and am one of the first people at stores so I have to deal with many many fewer people.

I don't get upset when my alarm rings. Most mornings I don't resent cooking a hot multi-course breakfast first thing. And these things were simply impossible when I wasn't sleeping enough for my body.

I think we established a couple weeks ago that some of us don't function very well on less sleep than we think :)
