Today was another good day. While walking through the music building I stopped by Stacie's office and Morgan and the horn guy from the brass quintet were they and they were like, go get your horn! So, I got to work one on one with the horn prof from UofI and it was great. what little i did with him made my low range sound amazing. I was so happy. ( Read more... )

So, the Illinois Brass Quintet played here tonight and it was great. Probably the best quintet I've ever heard. And whoever thinks that horns can't play jazz should listen to them and then reconsider. Today has just been a good day. Long and crazy but boring day at the same time. We woke up at like 6:30 this morning so we could go eat breakfast. I don't really know why, we just did. Found out I got a B on my Paideia midterm mostly over questions that could have 2 answers but they decided to have only one be correct and I picked that alternative answer. Sad me. So, turns out that yesterday the heaters just hadn't kicked in yet. And we now have the opposite problem. Out heater is still broken yes, but when it broke it got stuck on the highest heat level. So our room is like an oven. It is currently 86 degrees in our room as compared to the 34 degrees outside. Everywhere else including the hallway now seems ( Read more... )

SO, the heater in our room doesn't work so it is currently freezing in our room (57 degrees to be exact) and i am considering putting on another sweatshirt. That makes a heavy long sleeve shirt, a sweatshirt, and another sweatshirt.
