Ok, so. I belong to the motherlessdaughters community. I originally joined b/c I hoped it would be useful and supportive. I stayed for the drama.

i caught my mom cheating on my father when i was 15 but fuck, i got over it, then she dropped dead.

1. She's technically a bastard child if she's 18 and her parents have only been married for 14 years.
2. She's 18 and engaged. Technically, I have no room to talk, but mine ended before I turned 18 cuz I was smarter than that.
3. Her mother accuses her fiance of sexually abusing her (mother)? Shouldn't he be sexually abusing her (daughter) and not the mother?
4. Then her mother cheats on her biological/stepfather/standin to make her look like less of a bastard?
5. Then her mother disowns her.
If I have all of that right, then she needs to get off LJ and onto a therapist's couch, and fast. I think her mother disowning her is probably the least of her problems. Unless of course she's making it all up. If that's the case, then she needs to go to therapy to get over her pathological lying.
Just my thoughts on the issue.

1. Yes, bastard child.
2. 18, and not only engaged, but working 3rd shift, and barely making ends meet (if you go to her personal journal, you see she kicked the boy out, at least a couple of times)
3. I was also very thrown by the mother claimin gthe fiance sexually abused her.
4. i assume that, even if the father mentioned in the entries isnt' biological, she considers him "dad".... but yeah. cheats on the dad, with the dad's assistant.
5. i'm hazy on the disowning, too. SHe says she was disowned, but at the beginning, she made it sound like it was her (daughter's) choice to cease contact.
But yeah. Fucked up, if nothing else. But probably also not in a position to get therapy. I think she probably just feels very abondoned, as I notice there is no mention of how her father is currently fitting in her life.
