self-discovery

I've been working on having less glowy-screen-time in my life. This week i've nearly made a quilt (plan to finish tomorrow), started crocheting again, spent more time playing with the cat, and started to read a 60s college text book on poetry analysis my dad gave me. The witchery of wealth is not in the having, but in the giving. You have discovered wisdom. If you are a Biblical person, remember the story of the woman who gave the 2 mites in the collection plate. The wealthy man scoffed at her for her pitiful donation ( 2 mites is about half a cent). Jesus rebuked him, and told him "Truly I tell you, she has give more than you. You gave out of your abundance, out of your wealth. She gave all she had, out of her poverty." You are learning that life and the things of true value, are not measured by the dollar sign. If you were a Mom, would you be more moved by a fancy $5 card your child bought for you, or a handmade one, on a sheet of typing paper, written with crayon, and had a picture drawn on it? Hey - I have a genius idea - I need to get back into my crocheting too (plus I'm trying to learn how to knit) - we should have a stitch-and-bitch type get together like once a week or something. That would be really fun. :D
