You're not an asshole. Sometimes life gets too busy at times to call a person back right away, and I am sure your mom knows and understands that also.

Walter loves you I know he does. We should go to the dog park weekly. Im sure he loved you for taking him. I saw him run to you a few times at the park and he sat down and looked up at you with the biggest puppy smile :)
