We talked about people that mattered to you, and coming to the realization that you don't matter half as much to those same exact people.
We shared our fondest memories of days past, wreaking havoc in the hallways, breaking snack machines, the glory days of kickball, Feliz Navidad-ing down the hallways.. just for the hell of it.
We talked about how life is ever changing and full of growing up & growing out of old habits, and therefore moving on, until all we have left are memories... and even memories don't suffice.
And I think most importantly we talked about friendships that you think will endure, but don't exactly live up to your expectations. & how, with a few exceptions, the ones that last are pretty hard to come by. ...I think our friendship beats the odds.
