Fortunately, she at least had her hair, which she had wrapped around herself as an awkward kind of coat. It made her look absolutely ridiculous, she knew, and she could hear her mother scolding her for her stupid, impulsive behavior.
She wandered the streets, torn between the impulse to look around and marvel at the sights around her and the desire to hide her head and pretend that nobody could see her.
She saw the sign for the Welcome Center, and glanced at Pascal, whose poor little body was freezing on her shoulder.]
...it's worth a shot, right? I mean, it is a Welcome Center.
[Cautiously, clutching both her hair and her frying pan, she stepped inside.]

[There is much clattering in the kitchenette. Who knew that finding a packet of cocoa mix could be so loud? Clatter aside, it doesn't take long for Penny to hand the girl a cup of hot chocolate.]
There you go. Do you want to sit down? You can move a chair closer to the fire if you want... just make yourself at home.
