In a nutshell: I'm so excited High Kick 3 actually made it as a 2012 drama! It's the first (and so far, only) Korean "sitcom" I've ever watched, and I think it might be the last of this particular series, so

I think I read most of the re-caplets for 'High Kick 3' @DB though I didn't actually watch it. When it started I still deemed a 100+ epi sitcom way too long. Of course just a few months later later I picked up 'Just You', a 128 epi daily family drama and watched it without subs all the way through. LOL! I'm blaming Seo Joon Young for that one....

My favourite drama this year is actually a sitcom 'I Live in Cheongdamdong'. It totally pawns everything else I've watched.

I only started it because of the 20 min or so ep. length. I'd read the recaps at Dramabeans, too and it made me curious. (Though... I can't remember if I'd read them all -- the ending had enough suspense that I suspect not.) I don't think a lot of sitcoms get subbed, which I'm totally dependent on.

The longer dramas hardly ever get subbed though some of them are actually quite good. I'm sure it's because there is not all that much interest in the international dramawatching community and usually no popular actors/actresses either. They do tend to be very thematically similar and what I've come to understand a lot are draggy and outright boring/bad with too much unnecessary makjang. Take e.g Just You - it wasn't all that good by any means but I found it quite entertaining (though not always for the reasons TPTB intended ;P). There were some really lovely relationships (besides the OTP) in it too
