Between getting housework done, getting kid off to school and then the younger one constantly wanting to me to play with him; it was a terrible day for watching movies.
Not participating again (still can't watch horror without becoming ill :() but I did buy my friend's 17 year old cousin Christine today. The boy has potential.
Was out of town for most of the day yesterday and had planned on not watching a single movie, however when I realized IMDb lists my favorite childhood animation as horror, I could not resist. In case anyone's interested in an animation where Dracula steals a woman that's intended to be Satan's bride, the English dub's available on YouTube here; I can't really vouch for the English version since I've only seen it once, but the Finnish one is downright hilarious. (They have two whole voice actors for all the roles.)
After seeing a couple of friends discuss it on Facebook, I checked out Pontypool, and I really enjoyed it. I agree with some of the reviews on Netflix that said the ending was sloppy, but I appreciate the movie for trying a new concept. Plus, some of the things that happen in the movie are reality to me, and it was legitimately frightening to me.
I was also surprised to see that Scream 2 was pretty decent. I had forgotten just how much I love Scream as well. It's been some years since I first saw it.
I've made it my mission to see all the Children of the Corn movies this time around. I've made it to 4 and OMG I don't know how much longer I can last. How can a series be so...boring? I mean it's the same god damn movie every single time! I think 3 is the least worst out of the bunch, if only for my rose colored glasses since it's the first sequel I saw and the where I stopped.
Two is utterly forgettable. I remember having the VHS when I was younger and I remember sort of watching it, but I literally remember nothing of the movie. It was like I was watching it for the first time yesterday. And it was painful.
