So, I'm relatively new to this community and this is my first post, and I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. ^^
I've been doing dressage for four years, and I recently got a horse of my own.  He's a four-year-old chestnut Quarter Horse gelding, and he's my baby. xD

There's no going back on the purchase now, however, I'd still like your opinions on ( Read more... )

I'm no good at confirmation, but he's got some cute facial markings!

Doesn't he?
The star is shaped very distinctly like South America. xD It's because of that mark that I'm thinking of making his show name be Latin Dream (since Latino Dreamer is lame).

thanks for the comment. x3

OK, first off, the not-so-good stuff: He looks like he could use some muscle, not only on his topline, but in his hindquarters as well. He looks to be a bit gooserumped, and from what I can tell (the pics are somewhat dark), he needs a bit more shoulder and pastern angle. However, he has a cute face, and a fairly deep heartgirth. :)

That's just my .02, however. :)

Thanks for pointing those out.
ATM, Shay is very, very...fat. xD
I'll definately post some more of him when he's less fat/undermuscled. xD

Shay says thank you as well.

these are really horrible conformation shots... I'd get that right front leg checked out, or maybe that's the leftovers from mud fever? Anyway, he's potentially cute :p a horse is a horse, as long as you love them and have fun with them, that's all that matters.

Muscle him up!

Yeah, there's some dark spots on that leg that are possibly from having the scabs so badly, there's no more scabs that I personally know of there, but I AM still scrubbing his legs religiously.

Sorry that they're not the best shots...They were the closest I could get to the typical conformation shot- Shay isn't fond of cameras. I think it's the sound the shutter makes. xD

He's lost so much muscle it's not even funny...I'm working on reconditioning him right now, or when I'm able to- my trainer is training him for a while for me, so it's my job to ride him afterwards (usually in the walk) to work on those muscles.
What can I say, though? He's my jiggly pony. :)
