wow lots of responses :o anyway, I like Mag and the standardbred. Mag looks to put together nicely in a frame and looks as though she would extend very nicely given time and practice, she'd go through the dressage paces very nicely.

And Gold, wow, he sure knows how to pick up his feet. He'd give you beautiful impulsion through his gates.

Either way, both of those two, Mag and Gold, look the best imho out of the other horses.

Regardless of your choice, any horse listed "at risk" and has a suspensory problem, is definately not worth the $ in the grand scheme of things.

Oh, I forgot to clarify that he's "at risk" of going to auction/kill pen. So of course part of me is like SAVE THE PONY SAVE THE PONY. Stupid conscience.

I'll definitely check out Mag & Gold, thank you!!

What about this guy?

Beep and Go : is a 1999 model. 16 hand gelding. Beeper would be great at just about any discipline. He's forward and expressive. Very athletic and a pleasure to be around. No vices and 100% sound. He definitely has the "wow" factor. Located in eastern OH. email: jenarby@copper.net asking $2500.
Here's his video:

I saw Beep & Go and thought he was really cute, but maybe more of a hunter, but seeing the video makes me think he could probably handle dressage! *marks on list* I saw on the chron. forum that she said his price isn't firm, too (not that he's expensive!) so that helps too.

Thanks for the link! Gonna go look at them now... I missed that post 'cause I don't go to the h/j forum much.

Hmm, I do like the first one the best I think. He looks kinda oddly put together but it's something that I can't quite pinpoint and may be something as stupid as the angle of the picture. His back would really be the biggest concern, plus he's already 12. Depending on what he's done, he may not be up for doing a lot of hardcore training. The second horse doesn't look bad, but I'd be wary of anything that's "at risk". Dude, the chestnut totally has a big butt ;) And that last one I would avoid. She looks really straight behind, which I really wouldn't be a fan of.

Jasper and Mag looked pretty nice, I think Mag was the one that I was looking at more. Might be worth it to try and get a shot of them without tack on. I don't like the look of the Standardbred at all (and I work with em! Heh)

I know he's not perfect in his conformation, but something about him really attracted me. I would definitely have to be careful about his back, 'cause I know that would only worsen with age.

Oh, I forgot to clarify that he's "at risk" of going to auction/possibly ending up at the kill pen, so of course my bloody conscience screams "SAVE PONY SAVE PONY"

Thanks for all your help!!
