When checking Machigerita's (マチゲリータ) YT, I found an announcement for July 27 2012 for the release of his book which tells the story of the Darkwood's universe. It was posted in the description of the announcement video/trailer, which was posted July 19 2012.

[TN1] - [Translator Note 1: "Gensou Kyouki Kyoku" (songs of illusion [and] madness) are types of songs like the ones Machigerita produces, obviously, but also include songs like "Madara Cult" and "Nusunde Hiraite, Rasetsu to Mukuro" - basically songs that are meant to scare you in some way.]

The book is available on amazon.co.jp - but at the moment I cannot get my hands on it... So I did the next best thing and checked the preview pages online. Page 1-11 were posted, so I can translate those.
A reviewer on amazon gives a really good impression of what to expect:
The book does not tell of what happens in the video of the song that is linked to the story, but gives the stories that led up to the the events in the songs. You get the character's past rather then their present.

As can be seen from the titles, the stories deal with the characters of the Darkwoods universe. If you were not aware of the link and were wondering where the "blue beast" (蒼い獣) is, according to this tweet it is story three: "Moonlight and Black".

---Blue and dark.
A world enclosed by the deep and dark "Darkwoods".
In this book the tragedy and despair that happened in that world are written down.
I do not know what you think, what you wish for, what you envision when you read this.
However, (at the least) I have the moral duty to record the tragedy and despair that happened in this world of the "Darkwoods", so that they will not be forgotten.
When you continue to read this book, I'd like for you to turn the pages understanding what is written and storing the events somewhere in your mind, so you will not forget.
The story that is recorded in this book is,
of events that really happened,
in the "Darkwoods" world that exists somewhere.
Right now, where would you be reading this book?
In your mundane world, the same as always?

Note 1: Normally I stick close to the Japanese, but here and there I took a few liberties to make the lines fit the English language (and to a certain extend English formatting). For instance, the third line of page two read "This book is the book in which the tragedy and despair that happened in that world are written down," which I would have kept had this been lyircs.
Note 2: I may translate the first story, or the first few pages, depending on if I can find the rest of the pages...
Or otherwise people may recruit me for official translation projects XD
