Konoha Runts
I was quite surprised to receive such an unexpected greeting, for we had not even reached Konoha yet. But, my excitement was obviously something I couldnt control when I saw the Kyuubi-brat standing before us, all packaged and ready for taking.
"Heh, quite a place to be lost kid."
The brat looked over his shoulder, as if trying to find a way to escape. Fat chance. Not only were we in the middle of nowhere, but there wasn't a very high chance of survival when facing two elite members of the Akatsuki. The boy gave up after a while and proceeded to crouch down in fighting stance. I couldnt help but feel sorry for him.
So, we're going to get serious.
"Bring it on!" His obnoxiously ear-piercing voice rang out before a metal object made it's way at my partner. Smirk. You have to do better than that. I decided that since his voice was too annoying for my liking, I would end it quickly. Besides, I had missed the chance to take over several arms and legs the last time we had met up, so I didn't want to hesitate in taking my chance right now. Gripping the Samehada, I proceeded forward.
-Wait a minute.. There was another chakra emitting from a different source. I looked around and swore that a sort of blurred figure was taunting us from the side. I pointed at it as my partner suddenly flung a couple of his bombs.
"Shit! An illusion."
Genjutsu, huh? Whoever we were battling, he or she had a lot more experience compared to the Kyuubi-brat. Whatever. Whoever it was, together with the kid, they still won't be able to take on two S-ranked criminals. I gripped Samehada and rushed forward. Before I knew what was happening, a kunoichi appeared next to Naruto.
I won't go into the trouble of talking about what happened next. But one could imagine how frustrated we must've felt, the Kyuubi kid being taken away by some third-ranked shinobi dressed in something that looked suspiciously like a roll of toilet paper.
