A Continental plane has crashed into a house in Buffalo, New York.

what the hell is with all these plane crashes lately? I can't remember the last time I heard of so many in such a short time.

I think it really boils down to coincidence and bad luck. It feels like planes have been crashing with much more frequency than normal, because 2 others have gone down since Christmas, but this one is (thank goodness) the first fatal crash of any kind since 2006. And, since none of the 3 planes that have gone down since Christmas have gone down for the same reasons, I don't think there should be a lot of worry about the stability of our planes or anything. Just a bad bad coincidence. It does suck a lot though. Does not make me altogether excited about flying to Maryland in September.
