LORD OF THE RINGS (Classic Fantasy, Books, Movies)

Put me down as one of those who liked the books fine, but didn't fall in love with the story until after Jackson made the movies. Mostly movie-verse with a lot of book influence. Blame Victoria P. for getting me into this fandom in the first place. I had a series of drabbles, but the community was closed out from under me and they were lost. (Always keep copies of your work. Always.)

The walls were white and clean and carried a hint of ionizing disinfectant. The line was grey and ragged and frankly stank of devitalization.

THE X-FILES (SF/F/Horror, TV, FOX)

This was my first fandom for interacting with other fans. Ah, the start of shipper wars, conflicting interpitations of canon mytharc, and the bitter taste of showrunner disillusion. I can not pretend that I understood half of what was going on - either on a factual or a socio-interaction level - but TXF started me firmly into "Fandom."

Eventually I wrote fic. Some of it got on the net. Because it wasn't archived at any of the archives (ie, Glass Onion or Gossamer), I didn't consider it really *posted*, y'know? Which is my excuse for telling people for years that I hadn't posted any TXF fic.

(Looking at the quality of these stories, I think I might maybe should have stuck with that line. Ah, well. Full disclosure and all that.)

(Edit for clarity - I'm not actually suggesting anyone *read* these. Just, if I'm listing the things I posted, I need to list *all* of them.)

Changeling - 6,400 words, Fall 2001. OMC pov, M/S. PG. - Set post-series, and seriously jossed in the years since. Or - perhaps not.

A tall stranger - dark haired and soaking wet - leapt across the threshold. "Where is she? Is she here?" he demanded, his face contorted and running with rain.

(yes, the link goes to ff.net. Do not fear the pit of voles!)

NOTES: Fandoms are in REVERSE order by when I found them. This keeps my most recent stuff at the top. Fics are listed in chronological order within a fandom. One-shots and sundry at the end, as are Cross-overs.

Ratings attached as I remember to attach them. If it says "Adult", this may or may not include sexing. Just as often it will include dying, torture, murder, rape, etc, etc. Usually without the sexing.

Fandom fic totals and total word counts are for my own amusement. If I get really bored, I might crunch the numbers to do word:fic:year ratios. There may be pie charts. Or not.

Spoilers: Where possible, I will note the eps (or at least seasons) which are spoiled for in that story, by giving that ep (or season) in bold.

NS = no spoilers (assumes the reader has seen the season 1 pilot)

FSF = Farscape_Friday

FFF = ff_friday

Crossovers listed at the end. Crossover fandoms are not currently listed because half the time I'm trying to be sneaky and make the reader guess the characters from the descriptions alone.

Works in Progress List can be found here.
