but sean penn, what a man. i saw milk and was really impresed. it's not revolutionary filmmaking but it was told beautifully and the actors was amazing. loved that the whole yes-he-is-gay was made so

Sean Penn is such a brilliant actor. you really do forget it's him whenever watching his movies. i STILL find it hard to believe the same guy who played the stoner Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High 27 years ago was Harvey Milk. i thought that was a fantastic movie, btw. i cried so hard at the end, even though i totally saw it coming. i'm really glad Penn got Best Actor for it at the Oscars. :)
