Ariel and Piper turn 21 today and I planned to call them until I realized that they'd be out partying. Who'd want to talk to me when they could be getting totally sloshed? NOBODY, that's who! Haha ( Read more... )

Thank god you're just as insane as me or I don't know what I'd do. :)

I also thought it was impossible to get real Absinthe anymore, but I've heard otherwise. I thought I heard there was some loop hole where people could sell you the stuff to make Absinthe by yourself, but they just couldn't sell you the finished product. Wish I knew.

Hmmmm... the selling-Absinthe-ingredients thing sounds really familiar. I'll research it. There are a LOT of books about Absinthe on Amazon.com. OOH, fun summer project! [/nerd]

a. Readymade magazine had the instructions for making some kind of absinthe (I think fake) a while back. You might be able to find the issue on their website.

b. You can TOTALLY buy the real stuff in Europe, though I'm not sure specifically where. Possibly Spain? My friend was holding onto a bottle of the stuff for some of her dorm mates not that long ago. O.O

I'd totally accompany you to Canada for some Absinthe, fake or no!
(And that's saying a lot for me because I have something of a bias about Canada.)

I believe Absinthe is available in Germany. Seems Mike got addicted to the stuff while he was there. He has the fancy little sugar-burning spoon and everything. I personally would never touch the stuff...tastes too much like licorice for me I think. I tried Pernot once [sort of fake Absinthe-y stuff]...yeah never again.
