So, the whole Ricky saga has started up again. Over the last twenty-four hours or so, there has been incessant, hysterical press speculation; ranging from he's going to Real for 65m Euros and a 9m salary, to Chelsea jumping in to offer more, to the Uncles (and Bosco) deciding they want 80m and a 12m salary PLUS two Real players of their choice, to ( Read more... )

Pretty pictures are pretty =)
I 'll refrain from talking about Ricky, I'm trying to ignore it and stay calm so I'll use my icon as a silent protest instead ;)

That's exactly what I'm trying to do, too. Can I hold your hand?

*bites nails* We ought to be used to this by now, right? Funny thing is, unlike January there's been no official confirmation that any deal is even on the table.

God, you'd think we would, wouldn't you? The longer it goes on, the more I'm thinking it's all a fucking set-up. Again. No-one seems to know anything, except the journos, of course. *sigh*

Your icon gives me Wobbly Knee Syndrome. Bitchy Paolo is what the world needs, right now.

They sure timed it well, what with Ricky being in seclusion. Now really, if it is (another?) stunt, what precisely are they trying to achieve?

Er. This is of course a reply to your last comment. My head, it is spinning.

I blame the icon for your comment-location-confusion. *g*

Exactly. He's not available to give his side of things - so, if it is real, it REALLY stinks. If it isn't (and Berlusconi is now spouting the same, 'It's up to Ricky, I'll talk to him, and we'll announce a decision on Monday' bullshit he spouted in January), well, Berlusconi gets to look all considerate and caring on the eve of an election, his team gets its name in the papers every day for a week, and a 'don't mess with Milan' message is sent across the world. I just don't know what to think, any more. Is Berlusconi planning on selling Leo's buy from under his nose to prove a point? Is he not planning on selling at all? Is he planning on pocketing the cash and running? Any of these are possible. And I need to shut up/stop thinking about it before I turn my head inside out.

That is the most logical explanation. :D

Yeah. But what point, when Leonardo is so totally a Son of Milan (TM), who surely of all people need not be told which way the wind blows 'round here? Why make things even harder for him right from the start? And if selling Ricky for whatever reasons has been an issue for a while, why not bring Gourky back?

*cackles* You know things are pretty desperate when your own political buddy calls you out on your bluff.

But of course! ;)

I don't know. I agree, it doesn't make sense - but it just seems more than a little fishy that the two names being bandied about as imminently leaving are Leo's two best catches. *scratches head* It just makes NO sense. All the fuss over the Duckling, why on earth are they even considering shipping him off? And, don't even get me started on the epic clusterfuck that lost us Gorky. With Lotti going, it would have been the ideal time to bring him back: make a shedload of cash on Ricky, and bring back the French kid now the new manager won't bench him.

...Clearly, we're missing a vital point somewhere, you and I. *headdesks at the incomprehensibility of it all*

It's all the bloody incessant fuss about it that drives me mad. If they're selling him, then I'll learn to live with it - but I don't want to bloody read all the pointless speculation every five minutes. *grumbles*

Silly season is upon us and I swear, the press just don't know when to leave Ricky alone, yes?

Why don't they go for the current WPOY. Oops, I forgot, they are after him too. Ugh. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother reading the goddamn sports page. >_>

I know. It's bloody ridiculous, isn't it? Although, I am beginning to think that he really will go, this time. I can't deny the money will be useful: as long as the stupid uncles spend it wisely. *insert hollow laugh right here*
