Apparently the check from my last post IS for 0.002, though whether that's dollars or cents is a mystery.

I don't get email notification at work (can't access email, so seriouslyuguys had already pointed out what the source of all of this was.

He was still an idiot for failing to understand the problem in the conversation. Not as much an idiot as the people who worked there but an idiot none the less. People write amounts like $1.23. Smaller than that is $1.03. Smaller than that is $.97. But $.97 isn't a whole dollar. Some people thus write it .97cents. It's wrong.. but it's being occasionally taught in schools by teachers who are also wrong. Regardless, it's the sort of thing anyone with a fully-functioning brain should keep track of. Part of being properly intelligent is understanding and coping with the shortcomings of others.
