so, it turns out tippy's skin woes were due to fleas. the vet gave her a steroid shot to make her less itchy and help her skin heal, and a specials shampoo that's supposed to condition her skin and coat. immediately she stopped scratching, and after the first time i used the shampoo her coat looks ten times better and her skin doesn't look so dry

This afternoon finally slowed down at work...
