Why tiny incubi are cute, even when grumpy...
Murmur fluttered his wings harder, trying to drag his body higher into the ground. Why did things have to be so hard? he grumbled to himself, pink eyes washing over the scene before him. His mortal enemy - Nagano Daisuke - lay asleep under him, blissfully unaware of the incubus above him.
All Murmur had to do was pounce.
But then in a second, everything went horribly wrong and Murmur's hoof slipped. With an embarrassingly high pitched tone, Murmur cried out, his tiny baby wings too small to catch him completely. Tumbling end over end, Murmur found himself landing with a whump in the worst place possible.
Awoken long ago by the child-demon's antics, Daisuke had allowed Murmur to slip up and position himself. As one might expect from a child though, Murmur hadn't completely hatched his plan without fault. He had forgotten the slippery wax that littered the rafter-tops and caused his tiny sharp hooves to slip.
Sitting up, the one-eyed once-pirate shook his head a bit, a big hand reaching out to help Murmur right himself. Despite the constant attempts at his life, Daisuke had a soft spot in his heart for the little boy. After all, it was painfully darling, and when Murmur forgot to hate him, they actually had quite a good time.
"You okay there, Old Man?" he asked, a hand ruffling through pale silver hair and mussing it around the chibi's still blunt horns.
"You cheated!" Murmur cried out in reply, his pupiless eyes focused on Daisuke's tanned face.
That big brown hand swiped over Murmur's head again, and Daisuke couldn't help but smirk. "When you took my eye, you taught me a very valuable lesson. I won't let you take the other one."
That answer made Murmur pout, and with a huff, the child crossed his arms over his chest, hoofed legs splayed wide. When the little demon wanted to pout, he could do so with the best of them. Daisuke entertained the boy, smiling gently at his sullen little face.
"Why are you here, Murmur?" he then asked, gently.
The chibi frowned, then looked away, his voice tiny as he said "I had a bad dream.."
Hrming softly under his breath, Daisuke wrapped his arms around the boy and laid back, dragging Murmur to cuddle against his side. "Here. Sleep with me. I'll keep the bad dreams away." he then replied gently.
