I WILL speak in class this year. even if it kills me. even if someone holds a knife to my throat and says dont talk in class or Ill cut you. words. will come out of my mouth. its been two days, Ive still said nothing. but it will happen.

are you require to speak, or do you just want to finally get the balls to?
I normally just hand my ideas off to the person closest to me, let them say it and get the praise.
It works out.

we have to talk, or get no participation...and in this class thats 40% of my grade

I hate that.
Some people aren't just speakers. I would rather write a 5 page essay then explain a point verbally to the class, where I will fumble with my words and have a hard time expressing my intentions and ideas.

While writing, I have time to eliminate those inconsistencies.

I think I am going to be totally screwed in the whole participation area also..my professor in Spanish 103 takes points away if we speak in English and I am just not good enough at speaking spanishhhh soooo..I just won't talk. yet 10% of our grade is participation. It also sucks being the only freshman in the class.

at least I don't have to talk in chem 142..................yet?
