Thanks for the comment, wordy ones always help with the next time picture I aim to try. I have photobia, but its new today - and I downloaded a trial of Photoshop... To see if I like it (I thought I might try and find it in New Zealand when I'm there in June).
Excellent job, hon, especially for a first try. There's a steep learning curve for manips and you did very well with this.
If I might add a little con crit, the base is backlit but the face is lit from the front so try lowering the brightness and/or playing with levels on the face to better match the shadows on the torso.
Of course! ConCrit is something I live for. <3. Yeah, I couldn't really figure out was bugging me so much... But in the second picture (in which I just replied to your comment) I worked on the shading - I didn't on this one...Didn't really know where to start.
