R.I.P. Baby

This is a shout out to the best pet in the world.

At 6.50pm today (GMT), we had to put down my baby. Pepper was my Golden Retriever who literally meant the world to me. I was there when she was born, but I was too chicken to be there when she died. I'm sorry Pepsie, I let you down.

here via your "lyrics" comment (words that resonate with me for all my loved ones whom I've lost over the years. ) in tibilisant's LJ.

My wonderful collie who died four years ago was originally called Pepper which is what caught my eye - she was 16 when she died and I still cry for her; like right now, in fact! You're right , it's like a knife in the heart and the wound never really heals over - but it does get less painful.
