Six drabbles written for 10_snuggles.

When Keito sneaks into Ryosuke’s bedroom one night, he silently crawls into the other boy’s bed and slips under his blankets, sneaking a cold arm across his bare stomach; and although he’s asleep, Ryosuke jumps from the cold touch and whimpers a little, and his eyebrows pull together until he turns over, towards Keito’s direction, and buries his face into Keito’s neck, sighing softly as he sleeps peacefully once more.

The whole time this happens, Keito laughs quietly, until he realizes how late it is and closes his eyes, pulling Ryosuke closer to him as he falls asleep.

Ryosuke takes a deep breath and closes his eyes, trying to calm his spastic nerves. He exhales slowly and opens his eyes, but everything is still chaotic and there’s too much screaming; and so he closes his eyes tighter this time, and just as he’s about to take a deep breath, a familiar warmth is next to him, holding his shaking hand.

“Don’t be so nervous,” Keito says quietly, giving Ryosuke’s hand a squeeze, “They’re gonna love you out there, kay?”

Ryosuke nods, and with his eyes still closed, rests his head on Keito’s shoulder, his breathing much easier than before.

Looking down at the others hands, Keito blushes and grabs the heart-shaped candy box from Ryosuke, thanking him with a quiet stutter. Ryosuke simply nods and then holds out his hand, gesturing with his eyes that Keito should take it. The blush darkens on his face, his heart beats a little faster and the butterflies are fluttering heavily in his stomach, but when Ryosuke smiles and says, “I think I might have just fallen in love with you,” his shyness fades away, and he boldly grabs Ryosuke’s hand and pulls the other against him, closing the distance between their bodies with a simple kiss.

Ryosuke’s eyes widened, and he blushes when Keito pulls away, stuttering out, “Y-yeah, I’m definitely in love with you.”

Keito just smiles and continues to hold him.

Ryosuke groans as he falls onto Keito’s bed, burying his face into the warm pillow and cocooning himself in the blankets. Keito merely raises an eyebrow and sets down their backpacks, before joining Ryosuke on the bed.

“You okay there?” he asks, poking Ryosuke’s cheek, “You look dead.”

“I feel dead,” Ryosuke grumbles, tilting his head up so he can clearly see Keito, “School, drama, JUMP and NYC stuff; I’m just so exhausted.”

Keito frowns and nods, “I know,” he says quietly, wrapping an arm around Ryosuke’s waist, “I wish we could like, escape the world for awhile, just you and me. You can sleep in and I’ll bring you breakfast in bed everyday, and then we can just hang out and be lazy.”

“That sounds amazing, and fattening,” Ryosuke chuckles, scooching closer to Keito, “You’ll make me cake and stuff too, right?”

“Of course,” Keito leans down and kisses Ryosuke’s forehead, “I’d do anything for you.”

“I think your apartment is haunted,” Ryosuke whispered to Keito one night, snuggling closer to his boyfriend with an uneasy stare, “I mean, it creaks and there’s weird noises and the lights flicker and-”

“It’s not haunted,” Keito chuckled, pulling Ryosuke closer and bumping their foreheads together affectionately, “It’s just old. Or Hikaru,” Keito added, causing Ryosuke to laugh.

The laughter abruptly ended though when Keito’s lights flickered, and with a girlish squeak, Ryosuke ducked his head under the blankets and shivered, cursing out, “Shit, it’s a ghost!”

“Ryosuke,” Keito drew out his name in a whine, “Even if my apartment is haunted, it’s okay. The ghosts would have to go through me to get you.”

Ryosuke’s head popped out a little, just enough to see Keito, “Really?”

“Duh,” he replied in English, but the lights flickered again, and Ryosuke dove back under, whimpering pathetically.

Keito leans forward to kiss the younger boy, closing his eyes when their lips meet. A small nose pokes his cheek and internally he sighs, placing a reluctant hand against the boy’s soft cheek. He can’t help but let his mind wander, to imagine those soft lips to be a little rougher, chapped in a charmingly boyish way. The cheek under his palm becomes thinner, and the thick black hair he runs a hand through becomes softer, browner in color. When he pushes the boy to the bed, he’s completely gone, convinced the body pinned under his is more angular, tanned skin stretched across sharp bones. He holds the boy near with eyes squeezed shut, because if he opens them, reality will come crashing down upon him and the arms wrapped tenderly around his neck will become paler, more muscled and the face so close to his will become Ryosuke’s again, and not Hikaru’s.
