8 AM

Yawning, Yabu stretched his arms over his head and slowly exhaled, trying to wake up his sleepy body while he waited for his coffee. Normally, he didn’t like the intense, caffeinated drink, but he had an early meeting that morning with their manager to discuss JUMP’s summer tour, so he needed the strong beverage in order to stay awake.

Hearing his name, Yabu grinned and walked up to the counter, grabbing his drink from the cute barista.

“Have a good day sir!” she chirped, before going back to the register, taking another customer’s order.

Breathing in the coffee’s rich aroma, Yabu took a sip, sighing softly. As he did this, a flash of grey caught his eye. Curious, he looked outside the coffee shop’s big window and into the busy street, his eyebrows quirking up when he found what had caught his attention.

It was a girl, dressed casually in a pair black flats, black skinny jeans and a grey scarf over her white tank top, looped loosely around her neck. As if in a trance, Yabu exited the coffee shop and followed after the girl, pushing past the crowds in order to reach her.

Leaning back into his seat, Inoo sighed and took out his iPod, slipping on his head phones before scrolling through his songs, trying to find one that would fit his sleepy mood. Eventually, he settled on ‘Kiss Kaerimichi no Love Song’ and yawned, resting his head against the top of the seat. From this position, he could watch the other people in his cart; the salaryman busily chatting on his cell phone, the young mother of three handing her kids juice boxes, and some college girls, fixing each other’s hair and giggling. Despite his sleepy mood, Inoo couldn’t help but smile at these strangers, watching their activities in mild fascination. However, when the train slowed down and reached his stop, Inoo reluctantly got up and threw his backpack over his shoulder, exiting the train.

Suddenly, the song changed and ‘Viva Violent Fellow’ began blaring through his headphones, shocking Inoo. Quickly, he grabbed his iPod and turned it down, sighing in relief as the song grew quieter. Shoving the iPod back into his pocket, he was finally ready to walk to school but a petite girl interrupted him, almost knocking Inoo off of his feet as she rushed by. As she passed by though, Inoo noticed the most amazing set of freckles across her shoulder blade, like an outline to an angel’s wing. Amazed, he followed the girl, going in the opposite direction of his school.

10 AM

Walking into the air conditioned store, Daiki grabbed a basket and took out his mother’s shopping list, scanning through the items she asked him to buy. Seeing that most of them were vegetables, he ventured towards that part of store first, quickly filling up his basket with green onions, broccoli and carrots, so that he could get home and back to sleep. Now that school was over, Daiki really enjoyed being able to sleep in and just laze around all day, unless he had dance practice of course.

“I wonder what Mom’s making for dinner,” he mumbled to himself, grabbing a couple of potatoes before making his way towards the dairy and meat section. Once there, he grabbed a carton of milk and a few small bottles of strawberry milk, just in case Yamada decided to come over and hang out, like he did last week.

Placing the items into his basket, Daiki made a quick stop at the snack aisle, grabbing a couple boxes of pockey before heading to the check out stand. He handed his basket to the cashier and took out his wallet, handing him the necessary amount of money.

“Take care sir,” the cashier said, handing him his grocery bags and Daiki smiled, heading out of the store. Just as he got past the automatic doors, Daiki paused, brows pulled together. Across the street, a girl with short brown hair and ruby red lips walked by, a soft smile on her face. Forgetting that he should probably get these groceries home, Daiki followed after the girl, crossing the street when he had the opportunity.

11 AM

Hikaru closed his eyes and relaxed, his head resting on top of his forearms. He was supposed to be at a meeting that morning with their manager and Yabu, but when he got the call that his friend never showed up, Hikaru decided to take advantage of the gorgeous day and go to the park. For awhile, he played with the kids there on the swings and the jungle gym, but after tiring himself out, he headed to the grassy hill to lay down and rest.

“I want your loving, and I want your revenge. You and me could write a bad romance.”

Hikaru opened his eyes and sat up, grinning as he grabbed his phone and answered it, “Keito, my beautiful girlfriend, how are you?”

“Fine,” Keito replied, yawning, “So, I’m bored, do you want to go grab lunch or something?

“Eh?” Hikaru scratched his head, confused, “Don’t you have some college prep class this afternoon?”

“Yeah, so?” Keito asked.

“Bad girlfriend!” Hikaru scolded Keito, “You need to prepare for your prep class that is going to prepare you for college…wow, try saying that ten times fast!” Hikaru laughed, easily amused by his own statement.

“Fine, I’ll call you later tonight.” Keito replied, sounding mildly annoyed.

“Awe, I love you too,” Hikaru rolled his eyes and closed his phone, slipping it back into his pocket. Keito could be so childish at times, and not in the cute way like Chinen, but the kind of immature way like Ryutaro.

“Oh well, at least he’s hot.” Hikaru laughed to himself and moved to lay back down, but something caught his eye, a beautiful girl running through the grass barefoot, her black jeans rolled up to her knees and her ivory skin glowing in the sunlight.

Stumbling to his feet, Hikaru ran down the hill, clumsily tripping as he chased after her.

12 PM

Scanning the hats on the shelf, Takaki bit his lip and cocked his hip to the side, contemplating deeply on what hat he should buy for Haruma. The black one with the stripes was pretty cool, but the other black one with the low brim was very sexy. Then again, there was also the brown hat, that had a kind of ‘American cowboy’ feel to it.

“Hmmm,” Takaki hummed to himself, chewing on his lip. Eventually, he reached forward and grabbed the striped hat, smiling in satisfaction. When he turned around though to go pay though, he nearly shrieked and dropped the hat, starring at the pretty girl in front of him with wide eyes.

“You should buy the black one with the low brim,” she said as she bent down and grabbed the hat, handing it to Takaki, a piece of her short brown hair falling out from behind her pierced ear.

“Okay,” Takaki shrugged and faced the shelf again, placing the hat back and grabbing the other one. When he turned back around to thank her though, she was gone. “Weird,” Takaki said to himself before heading to the cash register, paying for the hat.

Exiting the store, Takaki began walking away but a familiar shout stopped him. Turning around, he saw his fellow BEST members running at him, sweat dripping down their temples and in Daiki’s case, along his neck too, probably from the grocery bags he was carrying.

“Dude, did you see her?!” Yabu asked as soon as they reached Takaki, his breath coming out in pants.

“Who?” Takaki asked, raising an eyebrow at his friends.

“She had a grey scarf.”

“And cute freckles.”

“Short brown hair and gorgeous lips.”

“And ivory skin!” Hikaru finished, flailing his arms in the air, “Did you see her?!”

“Oh, yeah,” Takaki smiled, “She helped me pick out this hat for Haruma. She disappeared though before I could thank her.”

“Damn!” the group of four moaned, their exhausted bodies hunching over in despair.

“Alright then,” Takaki looked at them weirdly, before commenting, “Hey, I just realized, we haven’t hung out as BEST outside of work for like, months now.”

“That’s right, huh?” Yabu asked rhetorically, shaking his head, “Man, how the hell did that happen?”

“Work,” Inoo spoke up, “School, boyfriends, Daiki being too fat and lazy to get out of bed.”

“Hey!” Daiki shouted indignantly, swinging his grocery bag into Inoo’s thigh and hitting him, smirking when the pretty boy cried out in pain.

“Guys, guys, come on,” Hikaru smiled, swinging one arm around Daiki’s neck and the other around Inoo’s, “How about we drop off Daiki’s grocery bags and then go grab some lunch, and maybe a movie afterwards?”

“Sounds good to me,” Yabu grinned, looping arms with Takaki. After receiving a nod of approval from everyone, the group of five set out, catching up on each other’s lives with happy smiles and giggles.

Meanwhile, the pretty girl looked around the corner, congratulating herself on a job well done as she faded away, her smile still lingering in the air.
