He had tried to understand, really, because he loved Hikaru and being able to hold him and kiss that laughing smile made him ridiculously happy, but he just couldn’t take it anymore. He wanted to believe that Hikaru could get over his old feelings for Yabu, but after months of waiting patiently and hoping silently, it seemed impossible that Hikaru could ever truly love him back.
A sudden yell broke him out of his thoughts, and Takaki sat up, glancing around in confusion. When he saw Hikaru running towards him, arms waving in the air, his eyes widened as he stood up, shocked and unable to move.
“Yuuyan!” Hikaru shouted as he got closer, before throwing himself into Takaki’s arms, clutching at his back and burying his face into the other’s neck. Takaki stumbled but quickly caught his footing, wrapping his arms around Hikaru’s small waist.
“Yuuyan,” Hikaru whimpered, pulling back to look Takaki in the eyes, “I’m sorry, I know it’s selfish of me but I can’t just let you walk away,” Hikaru began to cry, tears slowly running down his cheeks, “I love Yabu, but I don’t want to be with him. I want you, Yuuyan, and I don’t know how long it’ll take but someday, I will love you back. I promise.”
“Hikaru,” Takaki said softly, bringing a hand to his cheek, “I don’t know. I love you, but-”
“Please,” Hikaru pleaded, looking into Takaki’s eyes desperately, “Please Yuuyan, don’t leave me. Just give me another chance, and I promise, I’ll be everything you’ve ever wanted and needed.”
Takaki sighed, “Alright,” he said, nodding and Hikaru leaned towards him, still crying as he gently pressed his lips against Takaki’s, who tightened his grip on Hikaru’s waist, eyes falling shut.

He’s only 11 years old when he joins the agency, all bright eyed and chubby cheek, trembling with nerves and hiding in costume closets, crying his poor little heart out because the demand for perfection was too intense, the lack of sleep and bad grades were too frequent, and the other boys…they were just big meanies.
Until he met Takaki Yuya, at least.
Well, he never actually talked to the older boy, but he did admire him from afar, secretly watching him practice and struggle, receiving praise for his singing but getting teased for everything else. The older boy inspired him, because no matter how many times people brought him down, he always got back up, dusting himself off with a smile.
Even to this day, Yamada continues to apply Takaki’s way of life to his own. It’s not always easy, but when he finds himself trembling with nerves, Takaki is now there, holding his hands and reassuring him that it’s going to be okay. And when he hides in costume closets, he still cries his poor little heart out, but now Takaki is right there with him, holding him close in the cramped space and reminding him how far Yamada’s come, how proud he is of his accomplishments and how much he loves him, before kissing him firmly on the mouth, bringing Yamada back up and putting a smile on his face.

Inoo’s smart and has a very bright future ahead of him, beyond the entertainment industry. He’s pretty funny, in a more subtle and interesting kind of way, not like the way Hikaru is with silly jokes and bad puns. He’s also kind of charming and sweet…of course, when he isn’t lying through his teeth and being a jerk. Regardless, Yuto really likes Inoo and he isn’t just going to sit by and keep his feelings a secret like some sissy.
That is, until he gains the courage to tell him. ‘Til then, he’ll not-so-secretly spy on Inoo and admire him from afar, gathering his determination to make the older boy his.
