“Hey, Shintaro let me in,” Keito said as he entered Ryutaro’s room, throwing his messenger bag and house keys onto the floor. He then made his way towards Ryutaro’s bed, climbing onto it and laying down next to the younger boy.
“Awesome,” Ryutaro simply replied, rolling over onto his side and placing his head on Keito’s chest, smiling when Keito’s arm wrapped around his waist and pulled him closer.
“I guess I should cut to the chase,” Keito started, breaking the comfortable atmosphere. “Why did you punch Yuto yesterday?” he asked, looking at down at Ryutaro in confusion.
“I should have known,” Ryutaro sighed, burying his face further into Keito’s chest. “I’m sorry I punched him,” he apologized, but the words came out muffled.
“Don’t apologize to me,” Keito was able to understand them though. “C’mon Ryutaro, talk to me here. You must have had some reason for punching him.”
Ryutaro didn’t respond though, opting to keep his face hidden, so that Keito couldn’t see his reddened cheeks.
“Ryutaro,” Keito couldn’t but grin as he asked, “Are you jealous of Yuto?”
“Don’t be stupid.” Ryutaro immediately replied, looking up at Keito with a glare. “Why would I be jealous of that tall air headed bastard?”
“I don’t know, you tell me.” Keito chuckled, using his free hand to brush Ryutaro’s bangs away from his face. “What is there to be jealous of?”
Ryutaro continued to glare at Keito, not answering his question.
“I mean sure, he’s tall and handsome, and sings well and does that cool moon walk dance,” Keito said, rubbing Ryutaro’s side. “But who cares about that?”
“Who doesn’t care about that.” Ryutaro retorted, rolling his eyes.
“I don’t,” Keito answered, “Because I have you, and I like you just the way you are.”
Ryutaro smiled, but his eyes still screamed with insecurities, so Keito leaned forward and kissed him, placing his hand on the younger boy’s cheek.
“Believe me yet?” Keito asked as he pulled away, his lips nearly touching Ryutaro’s.
“I don’t know,” Ryutaro smiled wider this time, his voice quiet. “I think I might need more convincing.”
“I can do that,” Keito said, before closing the distance between them, holding Ryutaro as close to him as possible.
