Title: You've Got a Friend in Me

hotfruitsRating: PG
Characters: Hikaru. Inoo.
Disclaimer: Don't own.
Summary: Hikaru worries about Inoo's health.
Hikaru frowned, his eyes following Inoo as the older boy sluggishly made his way into the practice room, his backpack thrown over one shoulder and his left shoe untied. With a tired yawn he plopped down in front of the table, taking out his textbook and binder with his eyes nearly drooping shut.
Hikaru stood up and walked over to his friend, sitting in the empty seat next to him, “Inoo-chan,” he said softly, getting the other’s sleepy attention, “Maybe you should take a nap before working, you look exhausted.”
“I’m,” Inoo paused, yawning deeply, his hand covering his mouth, “Fine.” He waved Hikaru’s concern and grabbed a pencil, opening his binder and staring down at his model sketches.
“You’re not though.” Hikaru laid a hand on Inoo’s shoulder, feeling a little more bone than usual. “When was the last time you slept, seriously?”
“I don’t know.” Inoo shrugged, his tone casual and scaring Hikaru even more. “I don’t have time for sleep, Hikaru. I’ve got to finish these sketches and start building my model, I have a test next week and we have that concert coming up.” Inoo ran a jittery hand through his hair. “There’s just not enough time. If only we had magic, like in Harry Potter and I could use one of those time turner things.”
“Inoo-chan,” Hikaru whined softly, trying to get his attention again, but the boy remained focused on his work. After a few more failed attempts, Hikaru sighed, frustrated, “Kei.”
Inoo looked up at that, his brows raised as he turned towards Hikaru.
“You’re doing too much, and I’m worried. What if you collapse or something,” Hikaru said, looking at the boy’s disheveled appearance, taking in the dark eye circles and the thinned out cheeks, “Maybe you should take a break from school-”
“No.” Inoo shook his head, interrupting Hikaru and looking at him incredulously. “Hikaru, I’m going to school for my future, I can’t just give it up because it’s a little overbearing at times.”
“A little? Kei, you don’t sleep, you don’t eat, it’s not worth-”
“Stop,” Inoo said, brows pulled together as he reached over and grabbed Hikaru’s hand, “I get it, I do, but I can’t just stop. It’s hard right now, but all this minor suffering will pay off once I get my degree. Until then, I just got to keep going.” Inoo smiled tiredly, giving Hikaru’s hand a squeeze. “Thank you for being concerned though, I really do appreciate it.”
Hikaru nodded, smiling a little as well. “You’re one of my best friends, I’d be a dick if I didn’t care or noticed. Okay,” Hikaru stood up, “How about I go get us some breakfast, and coffee, that way you don’t pass out from starvation or exhaustion?”
“Sounds perfect.” Inoo grinned, turning back towards his binder and working on his models.
Hikaru left the room, hands in his pockets as he strolled through the hallways; he was still concerned for his friend, of course, but he understood how Inoo felt, and if there was any way he could help him, he would.
Starting with some food, and maybe a crushed up sleeping pill in his coffee.

Characters: Chinen/Ryutaro
Disclaimer: Don't own.
Summary: Ryutaro has too many Chii's in his life.
Sitting down on Ryutaro’s bed, Chinen picked up the boy’s small dog and gave it a hug, cooing at it affectionately. “Hello Chii,” he said, scratching the dog between the ears, “You’re so cute, yes you are, yes you are.”
Ryutaro chuckled, staring at the scene in amusement. “That is so weird,” he said, making Chinen look up at him in confusion.
“What’s weird?” he asked, now stroking the dog’s back.
“You calling my dog Chii, when you’re also Chii, it’s,” Ryutaro cocked his head to side, “Kind of messing with my head.”
“…I’m sorry?” Chinen raised a brow, looking at Ryutaro as if he had gone insane.
“No, its fine, I’ll just have to start calling you,” Ryutaro paused, thinking for a moment, “Yuri, I guess. If that’s okay with you, of course.”
Chinen beamed, gently pushing the dog off of his lap so he could tackle Ryutaro with a big hug. “Yes!” he giggled, pulling back from the hug and pecking Ryutaro’s nose. “Please call me Yuri from now on~”
Ryutaro nodded, his cheeks tinted red as he rubbed his nose. “No need to get so excited,” he mumbled, trying to sound annoyed, but he could tell that neither he, nor Chinen, were really buying it.
“Whatever you say, Ryu-chan.” Chinen gave his nose another kiss, before cuddling up next to him, his arms wrapped around Ryutaro’s waist.
Ryutaro brought an arm around Chinen’s, scratch that, around Yuri’s shoulder, bringing the small boy closer with a smile.

Characters: (minor)Keito/Yuto
Disclaimer: Don't own.
Summary: Keito calls Yuto after curfew while in England.
Quietly opening his door, Keito tip-toed out of his room and towards the phone in the hallway, fingering the small calling card his father had sent him. Picking up the phone, he punched the numbers in before dialing his best friend’s number, waiting patiently for the other to pick it up.
A moment later, a loud, “Keito!” echoed from the mouth, causing Keito to chuckle.
“Good morning Yuto,” Keito greeted the other, “Are you getting ready for school yet?”
Yuto hummed under his breath, and Keito could hear the sound of clothes rustling around. “Hey, isn’t it like, almost midnight there?”
“It’s only ten,” Keito responded, “Do you have work at the Jimusho today?”
“Nope.” Keito could practically see Yuto’s beaming smile in his mind. “So after school, Yama-chan is coming over and we’re going to have a sleepover.”
“That’ll be fun.” Keito cradled the phone closer to his ear, leaning his shoulder against the wall as he listened to Yuto get ready.
“It’d be more fun if you were here though,” Yuto said after a moment of silence, his words slightly muffled by the crunching sound of toast. “I miss you, when are you coming home?”
“In the summer.” Keito chuckled at childish whine, even though he felt the same way. “I should get back to my room before our dorm advisor sees me,” he said regrettably, after looking at his watch and seeing that a half hour had already gone by.
“Okay.” Yuto sighed. “Can Yama-chan and I call you later, after your classes get out?”
“I’d love that.” Keito grinned. “Have a good day at school, Yuto.”
“I will, goodnight Keito. I love yoooou~” Yuto giggled, saying the words in English.
“Love you too,” Keito replied in Japanese, before hanging the phone back up on its holder, ending his call with Yuto.
Going back to his room, Keito carefully shut the door and crawled back into bed, yawning as he slowly fell asleep, a smile still on his face.
