The open road; music blaring through the speakers, empty soda cans scattered across the floor, and a sense of freedom that is almost visible in the night sky.

And a snoring Junno in the passenger seat, sunglasses perched precariously on his nose and a small trail of spit running down his chin. Chuckling, Jin turned his attention back to the road, sighing happily as he continued to drive.

He definitely needed this, some time to get away from the idol life. To be able to wake up late, stretch his well rested limbs and just kick back, relax and watch whatever was available on TV. Lately, things have been so hectic with his idol life and he wasn’t sure if he could take another moment without pulling out his hair and just screaming his lungs out in frustration. Luckily, Junno saw the metaphorical steam coming from his ears and quickly suggested a vacation, which their manager eagerly agreed to. The last time Jin exploded from stress, he ran away to America for six months and that was something KAT-TUN couldn’t afford. A week long vacation though? Hell yeah.

Yawning, Jin grabbed the energy drink between his thighs and took a long gulp. Setting it back down, he leaned over and punched Junno in the thigh, laughing as his friend woke up with a jump, screaming, “Don’t kill me!”

“I won’t,” Jin smirked, as Junno groaned and flopped back into his seat, “I’m getting kind of sleepy, either trade with me or keep me entertained.”

Junno blinked, thinking for a second before smiling really big and changing the station on the radio, replacing the soft rock station with pop, a catchy and boppy tune immediately filling the car. “Oh baby, yume wa zenbu shinken, dakara otana ni naru jouken wo,” Junno sang along, dancing to the music and Jin laughed, a hand over his mouth as he struggled to contain himself.

“Oh God,” Jin shook his head, “Please, not Morning Musume, anything but them!” but Junno just poked him in the side, smiling knowingly as he replied, “You love it, don’t lie.”

Turning to look Junno in the eye, Jin stopped laughing and began singing along, driving further into the night with a clearer mind and a re-energized body.

“Jin, Jin wake up, we’re here,”

“Wha?” Jin asked groggily, shielding his eyes from the sun as he sat up in the passenger seat, looking around him confusedly, “When?”

“Just now,” Junno replied, unbuckling his seat belt and getting out of the car. Following suit, Jin stumbled out of the car and stretched, working out the kinks in his body from sleeping in a cramped passenger seat. Walking over to where Junno was, Jin boredly watched the other unload the trunk of their bags, setting them down on ground. Grabbing their separate bags, the two walked into the hotel entrance and were greeted warmly by the young women at the front desk.

“Taguchi-san, Akanishi-san, we’re glad you chose our hotel to stay in,” one woman said, her smile stretching across her cheeks, “You’re all checked in, here is your room key,” she handed Junno the key, “Enjoy your stay!”

“Wow,” Jin chuckled as they walked away and into the elevator, Junno pushing the necessarily buttons, “She was perky.”

“Her breasts looked a little flat to me.” Jin smacked Junno over the back of the head, ignoring his cry of pain as he laughed, “Dumbass, I meant her personality!” but as an afterthought, he added, “You’re right though, a little flat.”

Rubbing his sore head, Junno glared at Jin as they got off the elevator, the doors closing with a quiet ‘ding’ behind them. “We’re in room 54, which should be…” Junno looked around, “That way!” he pointed to the left, and the two set off down the hall in search of their room.

“49, 50, 51,” Jin smiled, exclaiming, “54! We’re here,” stepping aside, Junno ran the key through the scanner and when the red light flashed green, he excitedly opened the door and the two ran into the room, throwing their suitcases to the floor and jumping onto their beds.

“I’m so excited!” Junno hugged his pillow, “So soft, and these sheets are so fuzzy and this bed is so cozy!”

“Iareeeyaaay.” Jin said, his voice muffled since his face was buried into his pillow, arms wrapped around it.

“What should we do while we’re here?” Junno asked, noticing the ‘list of activities’ brochure on his nightstand and picking it up, reading from it, “Let’s see, there’s an onsen inside the hotel, that’ll be nice. Oh, there’s a beach not too far from here! Definitely check that out, and near the beach is a cute little village that has pretty good shopping. We should definitely buy the members something, and-”

“Junno!” Jin interrupted, throwing his spare pillow at him and hitting him square in the face, “Let’s just go with the flow, yeah?”

“Alright,” Junno threw the pillow back, grinning, “Wanna hit up that onsen? A relaxing dip sounds pretty nice after being in that cramped car.”

“Perfect.” Jin approved and the two set about getting ready, changing into some loose fitting clothes and grabbing two fluffy towels from the bathroom. Leaving their room, the two made their way back downstairs and to where the baths were located. Stripping down, they tossed their clothes and towels into a little locker and with a happy sigh, got inside the bath.

“Oh,” Jin moaned, sinking into the hot water, “Yeah, pretty much,” Junno laughed and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath and slowly letting it out.

“Hey, Junno,” Jin cleared his throat, “I’m really glad you came with me on this trip. If Maru had come, we’d be on this schedule and I’d probably end up strangling him or myself. If Koki had come, we’d just be clubbing and drinking and that so isn’t what I need right now. Kame would have been alright and I guess Ueda too, but for some reason, I really didn’t want them here with me. So,” Jin nudged Junno in the side, smiling, “I’m glad you’re here with me, I really am.”

“Awe,” Junno cooed, pulling Jin into a one armed hug, “I’m glad too Jin, I'm glad too."
