Despite being single for the past few years, Massu still found Valentines Day to be a very enjoyable holiday. He would watch with a smile all the happy couples go by, girls holding onto their boy’s hand with a smile, boys with their arms wrapped protectively around her shoulders. It filled his heart with warmth to see pretty girls holding flowers, handsome guys wearing a nifty watch, and high school kids clutching their chocolates and love letters with starry eyes. This romantic holiday was perfect in Massu’s opinion.
That is, until he entered the Jimusho, filled with bitter guys who couldn’t go out because they didn’t have a date, because they weren’t allowed to have one and even if they could sneak one in, there just wasn’t enough time to find one with such busy schedules.
Frowning, Massu side stepped a grumbling Akanishi and entered the News practice room, sighing in annoyance at the sight that greeted him. As usual, Ryo and Shige were fighting and Koyama was getting sad by the lack of member-ai, yelling at the two when they stopped to take a breath. Yamapi was standing beside Koyama, glaring at the two and shaking his head in disapproval, while Tegoshi sat on the floor and sucked on a popsicle, flipping through a magazine.
“How did this happen?” Massu asked Tegoshi, setting his duffle bag down and taking a seat next to his friend, peering over his shoulder to see what he was reading, “Why is your magazine in English?”
“Ryo-chan bumped into Kei-chan and knocked him to the floor, and he wouldn’t apologize so Shige pinched him really hard, and now they’re arguing because Ryo-chan offended Shige and his woman, and Shige is only making things worse because Ryo-chan would rather be in Osaka with Ohkura-kun right now,” Tegoshi paused, flipping to the next page, “And I stole this magazine from Akanishi, but I can’t remember why.”
“Oh,” Massu nodded and stood up, figuring it would be in his best interest to leave before they realized he was here and asked his opinion, or before Akanishi figured out it was Tegoshi who stole his magazine.
Walking out of the room, Massu pondered what to do when something small and painfully cute dragged past him, a huge pout on his face as he struggled to walk properly with the massive amount of chocolates in his bag.
“Chinen Yuri!” Massu smiled and walked up to the boy, taking the heavy bag from his tiny arms, “Why the long face? Ate too many chocolates?”
“No,” Chinen sighed, stopping in his tracks and looking up at Massu with big eyes, “There was only one person I wanted chocolates from, but they didn’t give me any, so now I’m sad,” he finished, looking back down and sniffling.
“Cute,” Massu whispered, before pulling his kouhai into a hug, “Ya know, it’s possible this person likes you but they might be too scared to say so.”
Chinen looked up again, his bangs falling into his teary eyes, “But, but what if they don’t like me at all? What if they think I smell bad and am too short and too girly and that my singing is horrible and-”
“Chinen,” Massu patted him on the head, “Yes, it’s possible they don’t like you but it’s also possible they do. You won’t know though unless you take that chance, right?” Massu smiled, handing Chinen his bag, “Take a chance.”
Chinen smiled and nodded, running off as quickly as his little feet could take him under the weight of his heavy bag, “Thanks Cupid!” Chinen shouted as he turned the corner, causing Massu to smile happily to himself.
“There is love in this hell hole after all,” the clocks in Massu’s brain began ticking, an amazing plan forming in his head, “And Cupid can help me find it,” he smirked, making his way to the costume closet as he pulled out his phone, dialing a number he rarely called.

“Just apologize!” Shige yelled, shoving Ryo and causing the other to stumble back and almost fall over, “Just apologize already you short bastard!”
“That’s it,” Ryo growled, lunging at Shige and knocking the two of them to the ground, throwing their fists wildly at each other. Koyama and Yamapi tried pulling them apart but to no avail, and when Koyama caught an elbow to the face, Yamapi grabbed him and stepped away from the fight on the floor, sighing in annoyance.
“Just let them fight it out,” Tegoshi joined them, raising his popsicle to Koyama’s bruising cheek and holding it there, getting his face sticky, “They’ll tire out eventually.”
Or sooner then that, as the door slammed open and the two broke apart and everyone turned towards the door, starring at it in shock.
“I am here!” Massu announced, smiling triumphantly despite how ridiculous he looked in a giant diaper and holding a bow and arrow, “And Ryo, your angst has been answered by the magic of money and helicopters!”
“What?” Ryo asked, standing up with a limp, “What are you,” he gasped, “Tacchon!” he screamed as Ohkura walked into the room, running over to him and embracing in a big bug, “You’re here.”
Ohkura nodded as he grabbed Ryo’s hand, waving to the others before dragging him out of the room, giving a Massu a thumbs up before he closed the door behind him.
“That is not all though!” Massu skipped over to the group and handed everyone a box of chocolate, that he swiped from Chinen’s bag when the other was pouting at the ground. Thanking Massu with hugs and in Tegoshi’s case, a kiss on the cheek, the group sat down and began to eat their chocolates.
“Aren’t you going to join us?” Yamapi asked Massu who remained standing, adjusting the bow and arrow so that is was hanging over his shoulder.
“No, there is more work for Cupid to do!” Massu said, hands on his hips, “I have to lock Ueda and Taguchi in a closet together, make sure Chinen confessed to Yamada and after that, well who knows,” Massu shrugged and skipped away, opening the door, “Cupids work is never done!” he shouted, closing the door behind him.
“Massu is a good person,” Tegoshi smiled, the rest of the group nodding in agreement.
